About Cory Boyd

Cory Boyd is the Vice-President of RT Workplace Training & Consulting Inc. He is a workplace investigator, consultant, and trainer with more than 25 years of experience helping organizations navigate complex workplace concerns.

Cory’s approach is fair, analytical, and adaptable, tailoring his work to the realities and culture of each organization. He regularly presents at conferences and writes on workplace investigations, workplace assessments, and developments in harassment and human rights law. Cory continues to deepen his expertise through advanced study, having completed a Graduate Certificate in Organization Design and Development at Royal Roads University, a Certificate in Conflict Management and Mediation from Conrad Grebel University College, and the Authentic Leader Development program at Harvard Business School Executive Education.

Expertise and Approach

Cory specializes in workplace investigation training, leading interactive and engaging sessions for organizations across Canada. He is also an experienced mentor, providing targeted coaching for investigators and others responsible for managing workplace behaviour.

Cory’s consulting practice uses customized assessment processes to help employers identify and address individual and systemic concerns, develop systems that meet legal and ethical obligations, and restore relationships within their workplaces. He also conducts complex investigations into individual and systemic matters on behalf of organizations of all sizes and types across the country.

His belief, drawn from 25 years of practice, is that when done well, investigations and assessments can deeply and lastingly improve an organization.

Background

Before joining RT Workplace Training & Consulting Inc., Cory worked as an in-house investigator and human rights consultant with the Ontario Human Rights Commission, the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services, and Toronto Community Housing. He was also Co-Managing Partner at Rubin Thomlinson LLP.
