The course met my expectations of providing further knowledge to advance my practice. The materials were very helpful and super easy to follow. Dana's knowledge, mastery of issues, and her presentation style and delivery were excellent. Her measured approach throughout the session was very helpful in ensuring that participants engaged freely and meaningfully. Overall, the course is a ready-to-go resource that I will put to use immediately in my practice. I will recommend this course to anyone who conducts race-based investigations.
– Kayode Akomolafe, Human Rights and Equity Advisor, Durham Catholic District School Board
I took this course to expand my knowledge of investigations. I didn't really think this was an issue in my workplace, and so if that same thought has ever crossed your mind, I would recommend this course to everyone who is in a position of having to conduct investigations. You may not think your workplace has systemic discrimination issues. I didn't either, but after taking this course, I can see issues from a different perspective now because of the way this course was presented and because of the thought-provoking discussions that we had. It was eye opening, and I encourage everyone to add it to their training.
– Sherry Charette, President, United Steelworkers Local 9597
Outstanding course that more companies and HR leaders would benefit from, especially given social realities. This course better equips organizations to address and appropriately respond to race-based complaints in a fair and neutral manner, without causing additional trauma for participants.
– Suzanne Harrison, VP Associate Experience, Walmart Canada
Race-related issues are finally bubbling to the surface in workplaces everywhere. As Dana stated, this is a good thing. It means that people trust us to take their complaints seriously and move through fair, unbiased investigations with fidelity. This, however, comes with a lot of responsibility. Dana led all of us through this complex landscape in a way that has built my confidence to do this very important work. Thank you, Dana.
